Hey Stan, what do you say we venture a little further north?  They both got on that "intranet" like two little kids and started looking for campgrounds.  They wanted to find a place that looked interesting and a little out of the ordinary.  (And yes, their son Mark talked them into buying a computer/"intranet").

They found exactly what they were looking for...Association Island Resort  in the Thousand Islands area of New York State.  It's way up north in the central part of New York near Watertown.

They loaded up the new Travel Trailer with everything but the kitchen sink (they still haven't learned!!!)  The Mapquest would take them on the NYS Thruway and Route 81 north.  June decided she wanted to go a more scenic route, so they decided on the old Rt. 20.  What a mistake.

The route was very scenic, but Stan wasn't very proficient at pulling the travel trailer yet.  They just pulled out of the driveway not realizing the brake controller wasn't properly adjusted.  The brakes on the trailer locked up making long, black marks on the street.  Stan got out of the truck and looked around sheepishly to see if any of the neighbors saw this take-off.  In fact, a whole group of neighbors came out to the street. "Yeah Arvee, that's the way to drive." Another said, "Hey June, you sure you want to travel with him? Ha Ha.

Finally, the Arvees were on their way.  June shouted, "Stan watch out!  I can't believe you hit that mail box on the corner." Stan just replied, "Oops."  About 2 hours into the trip, they decided to stop and get a cold drink out of the frig.  Stan thought, "I'll show her I can pull this thing and overcompensated a little and took the exit corner too wide.  The trailer swung around so fast, all the cupbords flew open, dishes smashed plus everything that hadn't been contained had flown about.

Two things happened, June bought plastic dishes and made sure everthing else was totally contained.  June decided that Stan needed some "lessons" in pulling the trailer, so SHE took over the driving.
